What’s been happening in the gym?

Up at Self Defense Classes Joondalup, behind the glass doors, is LIFE. Fitness!
Have you ever wondered what goes on inside the gym? Unsure about what the Martial Arts Fitness team have been up to? We have been doing A LOT!

We are well into our Half marathon preparation! On the 28th of November our team have committed to a 5, 10 or 21km run as a part of the Fremantle Run Festival! Every Sunday the team is committing to their long slow run as a part of their run Program. 2 months out we are averaging 8-10 km (60mins) per run with it to increase up to 15-18km (100 mins) by the start of November!


Not only is this a massive effort by the team but they are committing to training on a Sunday and we are starting to build such a great and supportive environment in the gym! Thank you everyone!

The team has also been working hard in the Strength and Conditioning classes! Our most recent testing block has showed continual improvements. Now this isn’t just improvement in 6 weeks, but improvements over 12 months, we are still seeing gains and fitness results after all this time!

Our martial arts fitness coaches have been making sure everyone is working hard! Make sure you guys pop in and say hi to the team if you haven’t already!
